Is Project Oceanology a good fit for my camper?
Day campers who are successful…
- Enjoy spending the majority of their day outdoors, on the beach, or aboard boats in all weather
- Demonstrate care, respect, and responsibility towards staff and campers
- Exhibit self-control, kindness and follow instructions
- Can work both independently and cooperatively with other campers
- Can change out of wet bathing suits and into dry clothes independently
- Can function well in a camper to staff ratio of 12:1. For every 12 campers there will be one staff member supervising camp activities with 24 campers in a group

A Parent Guide to Camp Forms
Who Needs it?: Every Camper
Physician Signature Required?: Yes
Parents Signature Required?: No
Due Date: IMMEDIATELY! We cannot process your child’s camp application without the health form.
What Else Do I need to Know?: Your child’s physical exam is good for 3 years so you may not need an doc appt but the doc still needs to complete and sign the form
Who Needs it?: A Camper who will be bringing an inhaler to camp to treat Asthma
Physician Signature Required?: Yes
Parents Signature Required?: Yes
Due Date: IMMEDIATELY! We cannot process your child’s camp application without the health form.
What Else Do I need to Know?: An Authorization for Administration of Medication Form must also be submitted for EACH medication brought to camp for Asthma (i.e., An Inhaler and anti-inflammatory medication would need 2 separate Authorization for Administration of Medication Form – medications can’t be combined on one form
Who Needs it?: A Camper who needs to brings Epinephrine
to camp for a severe allergy (auto-injector such as EpiPen or Neffy nasal spray)

Parents Signature Required?: Yes
Due Date: IMMEDIATELY! We cannot process your child’s camp application without the health form.
What Else Do I need to Know?: An Authorization for Administration of Medication Form must also be submitted for EACH medication brought to camp for Asthma (i.e., An Inhaler and anti-inflammatory medication would need 2 separate Authorization for Administration of Medication Form – medications can’t be combined on one form
Who Needs it?: A Camper who is bringing medication to
camp. This includes over-the-counter medications like tylenol, ibprofen, vitamins, etc.
Physician Signature Required?: Yes
Parents Signature Required?: Yes
Due Date: IMMEDIATELY! We cannot process your child’s camp application without the health form.
What Else Do I need to Know?: 1 form must be submitted for EACH medication brought to camp. This form is the Physicians authorized written order providing specific instructions on administering each medication. The parent must also agree to and sign this directive.
Who Needs it?: A Camper who requires additional support while at camp. Examples include but are not limited to: Behavioral challenges, anxiety, special dietary needs, diabetes, seizures, hearing/visual/movement impairments, chronic illness, developmental variations, etc.

What Else Do I need to Know?: Use this form to explain the plan for providing your child with the additional support they need. If you would like to have a conversation with a camp director before completing this form, please sent your email request to project0@oceanology.org.
