Project Oceanology’s adult programs offer hands-on, immersive experiences for participants to deepen their understanding of marine biology, oceanography and Long Island Sound. Participants can explore diverse marine ecosystems and participate in citizen science activities. With a variety of program options, including observing harbor seals in Long Island Sound aboard our research vessel or investigating the diverse marine life in our labs there’s an opportunity for every participant to expand their knowledge.
Seining and Water Quality – Bluff Point
Overview
Explore diversity of plants, animals, and measure peat depth to make connections between the environment and its organisms. Survey the minnows and juvenile fish of the shallows, and collect data on species diversity and abundance.
