Explore our program options for College & University Students
Project Oceanology’s University and College Trips offer hands-on, immersive experiences for students to deepen their understanding of marine biology and oceanography. Students can conduct field research in diverse marine ecosystems, and gain practical skills in data collection and analysis. With a variety of trip options, including biotic and abiotic sampling in Long Island Sound and profiling shoreline habitats, Project Oceanology also offers access to our laboratory spaces and equipment for sample processing. Please contact us for more information on what equipment we have available.
Experience hostel life
Our 56-bunk, ocean-view hostel located on the UCONN Avery Point Campus is perfect for summer interns, residential campers, and group adventures.

“My favorite part (as a professional) was the behavior of our students. They were pretty consistently on task and asked great questions, and provided fantastic answers. My favorite part (personally) was discovering that squids have teeny tiny beaks! Who knew?”
Every contribution to Project Oceanology empowers over 25,000 students and adults each year to explore and learn through hands-on, oceanic adventures.

Your support is vital in providing our life-changing programs that enrich the education of the next generation of environmental stewards and marine scientists. Our work wouldn’t be possible without donations from supporters like you.
