Project Oceanology’s grades K-2 School Trips offer hands-on, immersive experiences that foster a deep appreciation for marine life. Students can explore the rocky intertidal zone, engage in interactive lab lessons, and even meet some of the fascinating creatures that call Long Island Sound home. Our trips provide an unforgettable educational adventure, sparking curiosity and a lifelong love of science.

Explore some of the most common habitats in Long Island Sound: the beach and salt marsh! Students will investigate each habitat for living and non-living things to discover how each habitat is different, but important.

Get hands-on with a variety of organisms from Long Island Sound while learning about structural and behavioral adaptations.
