Trip Description

Horseshoe crabs have been on Earth as long as the dinosaurs!  How have they been successful for so long?  Students will find out as they rotate through stations to investigate a horseshoe crab’s adaptations, exploring their eye structure, eggs, anatomy,  and interacting with a live horseshoe crab.

Labs taught at Project Oceanology take place over 2.5 hours so this program plus one additional lab of your choosing will be taught.

Labs taught at your location will take place during the school day. The timing will depend on the number of classes/sections in your grade level or course. One lab program is taught per visit.
