Trip Description
Participants will utilize a variety of sampling methods to collect marine organisms in Long Island Sound. Participants will retrieve a lobster trap to examine bycatch, haul in an otter trawl net in to explore benthic organisms, tow a plankton net and sift through a mud grab to search for infauna.
To prepare for this trip: Participants should wear closed toed shoes and dress for the weather. Remember, it's typically colder and windier by the water. Dressing in layers is recommended. Life jackets will be provided.
