Students will spend 1.25 hours exploring the rocky shore in search of organisms such as crabs, snails and seaweed. Students will also spend 1.25 hours testing the water quality to understand how factors such as temperature , salinity and pH impact the organisms.

To prepare for this trip: Students should be in sensible footwear (sneakers, boots, crocs) for our exploration in the rocky habitat. The rocks can be slick with algae and closed-toe shoes are ideal.
