Trip Description
Different species of fish have different methods of survival. Some fish prefer to live alone and find the best hiding spot and some prefer to live in schools. Students will work in small teams to make observations about different species of fish found in Long Island Sound. Using their observations, they will construct an argument about whether or not the different species are schooling or solitary fish.
Labs taught at Project Oceanology take place over 2.5 hours so this program plus one additional lab of your choosing will be taught.
Labs taught at your location will take place during the school day. The timing will depend on the number of classes/sections in your grade level or course. One lab program is taught per visit.
