SEAL WATCH CRUISES
Join us for a guided tour of Long Island and Fishers Island Sounds aboard the EnviroLab Research Vessel. We will visit multiple locations for Seal watching as you learn about these unique travelers, the Harbor Seals, on their migratory journey from Maine. The Enviro-Lab has plenty of space on deck for optimal viewing and is equipped with heated cabins and a "vessel" type restroom.

Registration Policy:
We do not accept walk-ons. Advanced reservations must be made, and cruise registration must be done online. If you need assistance with online registration, please contact us during office hours. Our office hours are Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4pm. If you leave a message after hours, your call will be returned the next business day. If you are on our waitlist, we will contact you if someone cancels in advance of the cruise. If you are not contacted within 24 hours of the cruise, please consider that as confirmation the cruise remains full. Please do not arrive at Project Oceanology on the day of the cruise if you have not been contacted.
Registration closes at noon the day before a weekday cruise and noon on Friday for a weekend cruise.
Check-In Policy:
Check in for a public cruise begins 15 minutes before the cruise. Our facility is closed to the public until then. If you arrive early, you are welcome to walk around the UCONN campus. Restrooms will be available for use during the 15 minute check in. There is a "head" on our research vessel if needed during the cruise. There is a 3 - 5 minute walk from our facility (after check in and the safety briefing) to the dock where our research vessel is located.
Ticket Prices:
Adult: $40 / Military (Active or Retired with Valid ID): $35 / Child (Ages 6-12): $25
Group Discounts:
Groups of 10 or more can receive a 10% discount. These reservations are made through our office via phone or email. Payment must be made in one transaction and is required upon receipt of invoice.
Age Requirements:
For safety, passengers must be at least 6 years old.
Weather Policy:
Like professional Marine Scientists, passengers aboard our EnviroLab research vessel should plan on cruising in mildly inclement weather and dress accordingly.
Food/Beverage:
We do not offer snacks or beverages for purchase.
Cancellation & Refund Policy:

Cancelation Policy: We will not depart in the event of dangerous weather conditions. The conditions on the Sound can vary more greatly than Inland conditions and change quickly. You should expect notification of a weather cancellation 12 – 24 hours in advance of your scheduled cruise. YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED BY EMAIL AND TEXT MESSAGE (if you have provided that information). In the event Project O must cancel the cruise, due to extreme weather or unforeseen circumstance, we will notify you and make arrangements to reschedule your cruise. Your cruise tickets will be good through the cruise season of the next year.

Refund Policy: Reservations are non-refundable. If illness or another circumstance beyond your control occurs, please call to inquire about rescheduling to another cruise.
COVID-19 Policy:
In the event Project Oceanology must cancel any cruises due to COVID-19 we will notify you and make arrangements to reschedule your cruise. You can opt to add the cost of your cruise to your account to use at a later date, or please consider donating the cost of your cruise to Project Oceanology.
