Brittany joined Project Oceanography in April of 2022, taking on the role of Office Assistant. Prior to Project Oceanology, Brittany gained a lot of customer service experience with her retail jobs. She has always enjoyed talking to new people and welcoming them in.

Brittany was a Project Oceanology kid herself in middle and high school. She always loved coming on field trips and going out on the research vessel. Also, during Brittany’s childhood, her family owned a boat, and they would spend every weekend out on it, enjoying Long Island Sound and all it has to offer.

In Brittany’s personal time, she enjoys many home based hobbies as she lives on her husband’s family farm. She loves gardening, tending to her chickens, playing with her 2 dogs, and spending quality time with family.

What do you love most about Project Oceanology?

Nothing is better than seeing all of the kids smiling and excited faces walking in the front door each day. Project Oceanology makes such great memories that a child will hold onto forever.

What marine animal is your favorite?

Even though these are not found in the Northeast, my favorite marine animal has to be a manatee. They are such gentle giants, and have the nickname of Sea Cow, which is one of my favorite animals.
